Achimed® Achilles tendon bandage with 3D silicone pad
Achimed is a bandage for compression and relief of the Achilles tendon and the surrounding tissue. It consists of a comfort knit, whose higher transverse and longitudinal stretch enables an expanded relief zone in the instep area. The stretch zone at the top edge also makes it easier to put on. The two-part and enlarged 3D silicone pad ensures a gentle massage effect without putting pressure on the Achilles tendon.
The included wedges can be used to raise the heel, which can provide pleasant relief in the event of acute Achilles tendonitis.
The Achilles tendon bandage is used when soft tissue compression with local pressure pads on the Achilles tendon is necessary. This is the case, among other things, with:
- Acute and chronic Achilles tendonitis
- Pain in the distal area of the Achilles tendon (Achillodynia)
- Inflammation of the Achilles tendon bursa (Achillobursitis)

Patients with high insteps in particular benefit from a comfortable fit in the sensitive instep area thanks to the Achimed's relief zone. The innovative knitted shape ensures a more precise fit thanks to the 90-degree angle, emphasized arch and extended underfoot. At the same time, the compressive fabric (CCL II) stabilizes and relieves the joint. The bandage can also improve the body's own perception (proprioception).
The Clima Comfort* technology immediately transports moisture away from the surface of the skin - so that the Achilles tendon bandage feels pleasantly dry to wear. The fiber combination of high-tech fibers and natural fibers made from eucalyptus ensures high breathability and is gentle on the skin. With the included donning aid made of balloon silk, users can put on the Achilles tendon bandage more easily.
The integrated Clima Fresh function has an odor-inhibiting effect. This is achieved through special thread technology in the production process.
