Levamed® ankle bandage for minor instability and sprains
Levamed is a bandage for soft tissue compression on the upper ankle joint (OSG) and lower ankle joint (USG) with integrated 3D silicone pads. The ankle bandage is pleasantly thin and ensures a high level of comfort - even when worn in a shoe. The expanded relief zone in the sensitive instep area further improves wearing comfort, especially for patients with high insteps. The 90 degree angle, the emphasized arch and the extended underfoot ensure a more precise fit and a comfortable fit.
The ankle bandage is used for all indications that require soft tissue compression with additional local padding on the ankle joint, for example:
- Slight instabilities
- Sprains (distortions) and bruises
- Swelling and joint effusions (osteoarthritis/arthritis)
The 3D silicone pads of the Levamed bandage offer a gentle massage effect and help reduce swelling (edema, hematomas).
The compressive fabric in the ankle area can also improve your own body awareness (proprioception). This in turn supports the guidance and stabilization of the joint.
The unique comfort knit with a stretch zone at the top edge makes it easier to put on. In addition, the included donning aid made of balloon silk makes it easier to put on and correctly position the Levamed bandage.
Thanks to the special combination of high-tech fibers and natural fibers made from eucalyptus, the ankle bandage is also particularly gentle on the skin. Thanks to Clima Comfort*, Levamed can be worn not only in everyday life, but also during physical activity: the modern fiber technology quickly wicks moisture away from the surface of the skin and ensures high breathability. The integrated Clima Fresh function has an odor-inhibiting effect. This is achieved using special thread technology or special equipment in the production process.
