Immobilization of the wrist and thumb with perfect wearing comfort The Palmar Xtec Rhizo combines the functionality of a wrist orthosis and a thumb orthosis. The wrist orthosis with thumb enclosure is particularly comfortable to wear thanks to its light, open construction, its fit perfectly tailored to the anatomy, the individually adjustable stabilization elements and the comfortable comfort zones.
Despite the reliable fixation of the wrist, thumb saddle and thumb base joint, the Palmar Xtec Rhizo allows the gripping function via the thumb end joint and the fingers. Thanks to the individually adjustable fastening straps with micro-velcro, mobility can be continuously increased as regeneration progresses. The thumb-enclosed wrist brace is made of selected air-permeable materials that wick moisture away from the skin. The closure concept, which can be operated comfortably with one hand, also enables postoperative application over a bandage.
