The medi ROM knee orthosis is used for lateral (collateral) stabilization of the knee joint. With the medi Quick-Set joint, both stretching (extension) and bending (flexion) can be adjusted quickly. In this way, the gradual mobilization is adjusted to suit the therapy, so that the user can move the leg in a controlled manner. The wide straps with the practical quick-release fasteners also make it easy to put on and take off the orthosis.
The medi ROM knee splint with joint is used when early functional mobilization with limitation of movement of the knee joint is necessary. This is the case, for example, with the following indications:
- after ligament injuries (post-traumatic or postoperative)
- after meniscus injuries (post-traumatic or postoperative)
- after tendon injuries (post-traumatic or post-operative)
With the help of the medi ROM universal knee brace, the patient can slowly be introduced to mobilizing the knee joint. Defined ranges of motion can also be specified by limiting extension and flexion. In addition, the splint immobilizes the joint in a defined position if necessary. The immobilization of the knee joint can lead to a reduction in pain and thus increase the well-being of the patient.
The desired range of motion (extension and flexion) is set via the Quick-Set joint in the universal knee brace and adapted to the respective therapy step. In this way, the mobilization of the knee joint can be precisely controlled.
The medi ROM knee orthosis also offers a lot of comfort: the skin-friendly inner material of the knee brace is softly padded and ensures a comfortable fit. Thanks to the individually adjustable straps, the knee brace sits well on the leg. The articulated splints and pads of the medi ROM can be shortened and individually adapted to the user.
