medi Shoulder action as a dynamic stabilizer
The medi Shoulder action is a shoulder joint orthosis with a definable movement limit. The intelligent belt system prevents joint-damaging spreading (abduction) and unhealthy external turns (external rotation) of the arm and limits lifting of the arm forward (anteversion). At the same time, controlled movements are possible. The shoulder orthosis acts as a dynamic stabilizer that masters the balancing act between stabilization and mobilization.
Even with increased activity or physical exertion, medi Shoulder action ensures a high level of wearing comfort. It is easy to put on and can also be worn under loose-fitting clothing.
The medi Shoulder action orthosis is used when it is necessary to secure and stabilize the physiological joint movement of the shoulder. This is the case, for example, with mild to moderate instability of the shoulder joint. The orthosis is also used for stabilization after an acute and recurring (habitual) dislocation of the shoulder (shoulder dislocation or subluxation) if this is treated conservatively (without surgery). The shoulder orthosis can also be used in the second phase of treatment for surgical treatment of shoulder instabilities.
medi Shoulder action guarantees sufficient basic mobility. At the same time, the individually adjustable belt system prevents critical movements by setting the movement limiter. The strap between chest and arm can be chosen between two different strap lengths. The shorter variant restricts movement more. In addition, a fine adjustment of the dynamic stabilization is possible via the individually adjustable pre-tensioning of the straps. The thin, breathable material ensures that it is comfortable to wear. This means that medi Shoulder action is also ideally suited as a shoulder orthosis for everyday activities and for returning to sport.
