BSN medical Cutimed Gel - Effective and gentle wound cleansing
Necrosis or fibrin deposits are frequently occurring barriers in the healing process of chronic wounds. In addition to mechanical or surgical debridement, wound deposits can also be removed autolytically, i.e. by supporting the self-cleaning process. The advantage lies in the tissue-friendly nature of this procedure. Cutimed® Gel is a transparent, amorphous hydrogel for the treatment of necrotic and fibrinous plaque in chronic wounds. The gel continuously releases moisture to the wound and thus leads to an effective and at the same time tissue-friendly debridement.
The high gel stability and viscosity enable good application and safe retention of the gel in the wound. Cutimed® Gel can be flushed from the wound bed with physiological saline or Ringer's solution.
Cutimed® Gel consists of Carbomer 940, Purified Water, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide and EDTA Sodium.
Application areas: Cutimed® Gel is suitable for cleaning necrotic or coated wounds. In addition, Cutimed® Gel can also be used in later wound healing phases to create a moist, physiological wound environment.
Examples:
Cutimed® Gel can be applied in three ways: With the enclosed applicator, a spatula or directly from the tube - depending on the type and location of the wound.
